The Creative Concierge offers both marketing and business solutions as well as lifestyle management services. We’re here to help fill the gaps so that you can focus on the areas of your business, career and/or family that you do best, while we take care of the rest.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having spent many years working in the intense downtown marketing agency world, taking some time off to travel, then returning home and serendipitously helping to support unwell grandparents, I found myself taking on a wide variety of projects from website development and social media management for small businesses to planning events and personal shopping for busy working moms, when inspiration struck and The Creative Concierge was born!
What value did you get from BACD?
I was part of the Starter Company Plus Program. I learned a LOT, especially related to the business of business, such as insurance and legalities, building a business plan, what’s involved in employing others, connecting with other small business owners to share strategies and support one another.
Tell us about your business growth?
Since working with the BACD, I’ve been able to take on more projects, streamline my work flow and hire part time employees on a contract basis.
What marketing strategies have worked for you?
Digital media is an essential component for almost every business in this day in age. From your website to social media to your google profile and ranking, ensuring your business offering is communicated effectively through digital is key to success.
What advice would you give someone who is starting a business?
Research your competitors, network with other business owners to learn from their successes and failures, and work hard to bring your business idea to life!
Any additional information you want to share with the reader?
Never hesitate to ask your family, friends, active community members, other local businesses and organizations like the BACD for support – as well as offer your support in return. It takes a village and we’re all in it together no matter what it is we’re aiming to do.
