Stone Street Beach is a creative business offering hand-lettering and painted décor to make your home, workplace or special event beautiful. Products include pre-designed work as well as personalised and fully custom designs. Creating by hand means each piece from the studio is unique, full of character and made with love.
Creating beautiful pieces that make people happy is at the heart of the business. Loving wood, paper and glass as surfaces to work on, Stone Street Beach has a rustic, modern and bright style that reflects their passion for nature and being outdoors. Some favourite products include: kids bedroom name signs, wood slice Christmas ornaments, watercolour maps, hand lettered wedding and décor signs.
In 2014 I left my job and home in London and moved to Canada, but never had intentions of starting my own business. I have loved art and painting and lettering for as long as I can remember, and while waiting for my visa I spent a lots of time drawing and baking. A family member asked me to write a quote and decorate their chalkboard and after I posted a picture online I was getting inquiries about doing lettering work for other people. Along with another request, this time for a custom map, was the beginning of my small business!
The help and support from everyone at BACD has been invaluable to me and my small business. From meeting other like-minded entrepreneurs at group sessions, to one on one meetings with business specialists, every time I visit the BACD offices I come away more knowledgeable and more confident. The staff made me feel like no question is too trivial or embarrassing to ask, and not only do they provide you with answers, they also teach you how to find answers by yourself
