Eternal Light Yoga offers a variety of classes to suit any yogi's style! Whether you are just beginning, have been practicing for years, want to step up your fitness game or put the "ahhhhh" in yoga with some deep relaxation, their studio offers classes for everyone.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN YOUR BUSINESS?

After graduating from my first yoga teacher-training program, I had the opportunity to begin teaching a group of seniors. Through working with them I saw how they benefited from practising yoga, with improvements in balance, strength, awareness, focus, flexibility, mobility, anxiety, self-confidence and so much more! So I took the next step and launched a studio that offers quality yoga classes that are accessible and affordable so more people in the Clarington area, and beyond, can enjoy the benefits of this practice.

HOW DID THE HELP YOU GOT FROM BACD IMPACT YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS?

BACD was instrumental in providing guidance and mentorship, which helped me bring my business to another level. When I first started, there was so much I hadn’t thought about and I  considered myself more of a yoga teacher than a business owner. Today, I am much more confident in the business aspect of my studio. I have hired one permanent yoga teacher and am looking to expand into a more accommodating space.

HOW DO YOU MARKET YOUR BUSINESS?

I market my business through my website, social media, flyers in certain locations around Bowmanville, and word of mouth.

WHAT UNEXPECTED CHALLENGES DID YOU HAVE?

Space. I am currently operating from a shared space in a church that my parents have been attending for years. I thought the relationship would be easier because there was already one there, however, that proving to be my most unexpected challenge. I have presented them with a lease agreement, and am currently working with the Clarington Board of Trade to find a space that will work better to support my long-term vision.
