Embrace Surrogacy

Embrace Surrogacy is a full‑service Canadian surrogacy agency built on lived experience, compassion, and trust. The agency is co‑founded by a former surrogate and a former intended parent, bringing both perspectives together to support families on every side of the journey.

Embrace Surrogacy guides intended parents and surrogates through the entire process from start to finish with transparency, honesty, and heart. Their work focuses on education, advocacy, and clear communication, helping families feel informed, supported, and confident at every stage.

Founder Darcy Herring served as a surrogate four times and fell in love with the surrogacy community and the joy it creates for families. Her business partner was once an intended parent Darcy carried for, and together they shared a deep desire to bring that same sense of purpose, care, and fulfillment to others navigating surrogacy in Canada.

Their shared experience shaped the foundation of Embrace Surrogacy and continues to influence how they show up for their clients every day.

Darcy turned to the Business Advisory Centre Durham knowing it had a long‑standing reputation for supporting small businesses in meaningful, practical ways. BACD helped Embrace Surrogacy slow down and focus on the details that matter when building a strong business foundation.

The Impact of BACD Support

Through one‑to‑one advisory support, Darcy worked closely with Teresa Shaver to develop a clear and thoughtful business plan. The process helped sharpen the company’s messaging, clarify its purpose, and align the business with its values.

The biggest outcome was clarity. The structured conversations and homework pushed the founders to think deeper, communicate their story more effectively, and move forward with confidence.

Today, Embrace Surrogacy operates with two team members, serving families across Durham Region and Mississauga. The business continues to grow its reach while educating Canadians about surrogacy and advocating for ethical, informed practices.

The team is most proud of how clearly they are now able to share their story while also educating others about surrogacy in Canada. Their voice, confidence, and credibility have grown alongside the business.
