Pushparaj Susairaj
Advisia Global Inc.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in business operations, organizations face growing pressure to ensure AI is used responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with emerging regulations. That’s where Advisia Global Inc. comes in.
Founded by Pushparaj Susairaj, Advisia helps organizations build trust in artificial intelligence through AI governance, compliance advisory services, audit readiness, and workforce training. The company specializes in implementing ISO/IEC 42001 AI Management Systems, delivering AI literacy training, and helping businesses prepare for certification and regulatory scrutiny.
Serving clients across Durham Region, the Greater Toronto Area, and beyond, Advisia works with startups, mid-sized companies, and large enterprises that want to embrace AI while managing risk and building long-term trust.
The Inspiration
After more than 25 years in enterprise IT, networking, and learning and development leadership, Pushparaj observed organizations rapidly adopting AI technologies without the governance frameworks needed to support them.
Seeing this growing gap inspired him to launch Advisia Global Inc. His mission was clear: help organizations innovate with confidence by putting practical governance, compliance, and education frameworks in place before problems arise.
Why BACD?
While Pushparaj brought decades of technical expertise to the table, turning that expertise into a scalable business required a different skill set.
He connected with the Business Advisory Centre Durham to develop a formal business plan, create financial projections, refine his value proposition, and build a strategic go-to-market approach. Through BACD and the Starter Company Plus program (funded by the Government of Ontario), he also gained access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and valuable connections within Durham Region’s business community.
The Impact
Working with BACD helped Pushparaj transform Advisia from a concept into a focused consulting practice with clearly defined service offerings and a disciplined growth strategy.
With guidance from advisor Patrice Esper, he strengthened his business planning, developed financial forecasting models, secured Starter Company Plus funding, and built a structured B2B sales pipeline. The experience also helped establish strong operational systems and create valuable connections within the local business ecosystem.
Business Growth
Advisia operates using an agile expert model, leveraging specialized contractors and subject matter experts to deliver high-value consulting services.
Recent milestones include:
- Partnering with Ontario Tech University’s New Futures program to deliver AI curriculum and training.
- Securing new clients through regional workshop engagements.
- Building a growing pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Developing proprietary intellectual property, including AI governance frameworks, audit preparation toolkits, and executive AI training programs.

Keys to Success
Pushparaj has found that educational thought leadership is one of the most effective ways to build credibility and attract clients.
By sharing practical insights on AI governance and ISO/IEC 42001 through LinkedIn, workshops, and speaking engagements, Advisia connects directly with executives and decision-makers seeking guidance on responsible AI adoption. Referrals through regional partners and professional networks have also played an important role in the company’s growth.
What He’s Most Proud Of
Pushparaj is proud of positioning Advisia as an early leader in the rapidly emerging field of AI governance and compliance.
As organizations navigate the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, Advisia is helping bridge the gap between complex technology and practical business implementation, delivering solutions that create both compliance and competitive advantage.
“Niche down early and solve a specific problem exceptionally well.”
Pushparaj believes that focusing on a clear and urgent customer challenge makes marketing, sales, and business growth far easier than trying to serve everyone. By specializing in AI governance and ISO/IEC 42001 compliance, Advisia has established a strong market position and attracts clients looking for deep expertise rather than general consulting services.
