Tell us about your business and what services/products you offer?

We are an all natural skincare company that offers the modern basic essentials. Soap lotion and deodorant. We’ve also develop a great way to interact with customers through ut 5 min hand massage services.

How did you get started in your business?

After the death of Cola’s son and Rochelle’s nephew we wanted to channel our grief onto something positive so we asked the question what does someone need to be able to keep going every day. With this we realize how important the basic essentials really were.

How did the help you got from BACD impact you and your business?

Helped us organize the business to function more like an actual business. We re launched our website, making it more user friendly and we re did our packaging which has been a major hit with our customers

What was more difficult than you thought it would be?

Organizing and staying on top of the money. What was coming I  and going out and keeping up with demands. We prices things too low and lost out a bit.

What unexpected challenges did you have?

Finding trade shows to sell our products were all in Toronto so it’s a far distance for us.

What do you do to keep abreast of the changes in your business and in your industry?

Still working that out. But doing a lot of research really helps to stay present.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own business?

Be organized. Write everything down. Give it 100 and make sure you have time.
