What inspired you to start your own business?
I have a lot of experience and qualifications in regards to accounting, tax preparation, as well as a strong understanding of personal and business income tax worksheets and computation. Prior to starting my business, I prepared and filed taxes for a few friends and members of family, however I wished to take the next step and start a business. Through H & T Income Tax, I wish to provide everyone with the ability to access an easy and affordable method of filing their taxes. In addition to this, I wish to provide small businesses an affordable, efficient, and professional service in regards to preparing their payrolls, bookkeeping, and other accounting services.
What value did you receive from BACD?
I was able to receive many tips and great guidance from BACD in regards to my next steps in growing my business in the most efficient way possible. I was described to about multiple marketing strategies that would help me achieve my goal, as well as methods to plan my future steps, focusing on my marketing plans.

Through the BACD I was able to expand my services to the Durham region. Through the financial assistance provided by the BACD, I wish to acquire a physical location within Durham as well.
