Mina Bulkowski: Spreading Joy One Tiny Creation at a Time

For Mina Bulkowski, creativity has always been more than a hobby—it’s a way of connecting with the world. This summer, she’s turning that passion into purpose with the launch of her first business: Cookie & Cream Creations.

A charming pop-up brand based in Durham Region, Cookie & Cream Creations specializes in handcrafted clay pins and pastel accessories designed to brighten bags, jackets, and hearts. Each piece is lovingly made by Mina herself, inspired by quiet moments, soft aesthetics, and the belief that cuteness belongs in everyday life.

As a student and first-time entrepreneur, Mina knew she needed guidance to bring her vision to life. That’s when she discovered the Summer Company program funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade and managed through the Business Advisory Centre Durham (BACD). With the support of her advisor, Mina received the mentorship, tools, and confidence she needed to turn her creative ideas into a real business.

Through BACD, Mina learned how to plan, market, and manage her business—skills that have helped her grow not just as an artist, but as a young entrepreneur. From designing her logo to setting up at local pop-up markets, she’s embraced every step of the journey with enthusiasm and heart.

Though Cookie & Cream Creations is still in its early stages, Mina has already made a meaningful impact. Operating from home, she creates and packages each item by hand, sharing her work at community events and through her growing Instagram presence @cookie_creamcreations. With every sale, she’s not just offering a product—she’s sharing a piece of her creativity and joy.

For Mina, this business is more than a summer project—it’s a celebration of self-expression, connection, and the magic of handmade art. And as she continues to grow, one tiny creation at a time, she’s proving that even the smallest things can make the biggest difference.
