What inspired you to start your own business?
I had never seen women cutting grass. I thought there was an opportunity to show people in my neighbourhood that females can cut grass and maintain properties just as well as anyone can.
What value did you receive from BACD?
I have received great support from BACD. I have been able to improve my accounting skills.
What marketing strategies have been successful for you?
Quality work with a friendly smile. I like to go door to door and tell people about myself and what I do and then ask if they would like a quote. I also know that by doing quality work and maintaining a clean work environment, customers will see that and may inquire about my services. Most of my customers have come from word of mouth and referrals.
