How did you get started in this business?

I was told by a previous mentor to write a book. I published an ebook on dating, took a course as a dating coach and followed by passion.

How did the help you got from BACD impact you and your business?

My mentor, Rudy Fischer, helped me to prioritize.

What was most impactful for you being in the Starter Company program?

Mentorship was the most impactful. It holds you accountable. Gives you a chance to learn from a more experienced entrepreneur.

Why did you think you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I want to be in control of my destiny. Being an entrepreneur is a lifestyle that is flexible.

What was more difficult than you thought it would be?

The realities of business were more difficult than I thought it would be. You have to make decisions.

How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?

I market the business through the website, face book business page, meet ups, e-newsletters (it currently has 170 subscribers) and word of mouth.

What do you do to keep abreast of the changes in your business and in your industry?

I keep abreast by reading industry specific books and being affiliated with matching making and coaching groups.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own business?

Do your market research; test the viability/sustainability of your business idea.

What is it that you do that’s made you a success?

I am consistent in my efforts to promote my services. This has helped with my branding.

Has technology impacted how you conduct business?

For sure! I can now do Skype calls – clients can be anywhere in the world.

What is the future for this type of business?

While there may be an increase in online apps, dating may be exhausting. People are searching for authentic connections.

I seek business advice from The BACD, my mentors, and other colleagues in the industry.
