Summer Company Program

This program provides Ontario students ages 15-29 a seed grant of up to $3,000 and hands-on training, coaching and mentoring to help you start and operate your business. The program starts in June/July and finishes by Labour Day. It is available to high school and college/university students who are returning to school the following academic year.

ShopHere Program

ShopHERE provides INDEPENDENT SMALL BUSINESSES and ARTISTS with a quick, easy and no-cost way to get selling online right away by providing free help to create an e-commerce website on Shopify or Square Businesses will be responsible for the monthly Shopify fee after the initial 90-day trial.

Participant Requirements

  • It is a registered business, or a registered non-profit organization.
  • It has a commercial location or is home-based.
  • It has fewer than ten employees or fewer than 25 employees if a restaurant or bar.
  • It is not a corporate chain or franchise.
  • Or must be an artist.
