We are Oshawa's newest and totally-not-boring laundromat! No one likes doing laundry so we got the biggest washing machines we could find so you can do an entire week's, or even month's, worth of laundry all at once! For those times when you would rather have someone else do your laundry, we offer wash & fold services as well.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had always wanted to start my own business but lacked either a great idea or the right timing to start one.
What value did you get from BACD?
Value that can probably not be measured or quantified. Along with receiving hard data I was also given immense personal support. That in turn provided me with even more confidence to start a business.
Tell us about your business growth?
The laundromat is experiencing steady growth. Our sales are increasing every month. We are seeing repeat customers as well as new ones every week.
What marketing strategies have you found useful?
For the launch we utilized Canada Post’s direct mail marketing service. We sent postcards offering free laundry detergent to customers who came in to use the laundromat. After that we have found Instagram and Facebook to be quite effective as well.
What advice would you give someone who is starting a business?
Do your research, plan, get advice from industry experts such as BACD and just do it!
