Vinuthna’s journey started with a simple but powerful realization: younger students often struggle with confidence in their learning. She saw an opportunity to help by offering tutoring that’s friendly, relatable, and effective.

“I wanted to create a space where kids feel encouraged and excited to learn,” she says. “Starting Early Excellence Tutoring has allowed me to combine my love for teaching with my interest in entrepreneurship.”

Turning Ideas Into Impact with BACD

Like many first-time founders, Vinuthna had the drive—but needed direction. That’s where BACD came in.

“I didn’t fully understand the steps involved in running a business,” she explains. “BACD gave me the tools, support, and confidence I needed to take my business seriously.”

Through the Summer Company program, she learned how to build a business plan, manage her time and finances, and promote her services with clarity and confidence. The Summer Company program is funded through the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

Early Excellence Tutoring is growing steadily, thanks to a mix of word-of-mouth referrals and engaging social media content. Vinuthna uses Instagram and Canva to create colorful, friendly posts that showcase her tutoring style and connect with parents.

“Positive reviews from families have been really powerful,” she says. “I keep things friendly and engaging, which helps parents trust me and students get excited to join.”
