Inventors
Around 1851, the first ginger ales were created in Ireland. Canadian, John McLaughlin invented the modern day Canada Dry version of Ginger Ales in 1907. McLaughlin also developed a method of mass bottling his Ginger Ales leading to successful sales. John McLauglin graduated from the U of T in 1885 with a Gold Medal in Pharmacy and by 1890 started in the soda pop business.
