Innovate

Innovation is not limited to science and technology...innovation is born from ideas and inventions that improve something, make money and create jobs.

According to business writer Ken Cottrill, "Companies need to establish a seamless innovation process--an enterprise-wide exchange of ideas that will ensure that the information and expertise required to create, market, and service breakthrough products is available and accessible to those who need it."

Another innovation definition might be simply, "Innovation is the lifeblood of any business." Innovation is progress defined.  We live in a time of amazing innovation (and invention) thanks to computers and the lifestyle changes they bring.

At BACD we facilitate innovation, often this occurs in the business planning stage or growth stage of an enterprise.  We are also a conduit and guide to many resources for innovation such as commercialization, environment, greening your business and so on.

In the fall of 2010 BACD, will bring the Canadian Innovation Assistor (CIA) to your fingertips.  Through our partnership with Candian Innovation Centre, this free online resource will allow you to pose specific questions about your challenges to a group of local subject matter experts.  This tool can assist you in averting potential missteps that could be detrimental to your business.

In business, we cannot direct the winds, but we can adjust our sails.  Everyone is innovating. Are you?
