Young Entrepreneur Programs
BACD young entrepreneur programs are designed to help people like you develop entrepreneurial skills and build your own business right now or in the future. We have a number of programs and events available for youth to participate in such as:
- SUMMER COMPANY
- BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION
If you’ve got a winning idea for starting a new business and you are a full-time student who is not afraid of hard work, then you should consider applying to the Summer Company Program. Hands on business training and mentoring — together with up to $3000 in awards to help you start and run your own business. The aim of Summer Company is to inspire young people to choose entrepreneurship as a viable career option, and to equip them with the tools needed to succeed.
Or, if you are a high school student you can enter the Business Plan Competition and win cash/prizes. Open to all Durham Region High Schools, the Business Plan Competition is designed to encourage secondary school students to learn more about entrepreneurship through the creation of a business plan. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners plus an opportunity to compete for even bigger regional and provincial awards!
